After the success of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3, fans are turning towards films that provide them with an exciting experience and an understanding of space and the cosmos.
Here is a list of three eagerly awaited astronomy movies for those of you who share that interest. These movies were announced years ago, but they haven’t been released yet and may never be.

1. Rakesh Sharma Biopic – Saare Jahan Se Achha
Saare Jahan Se Achha, directed by Mahesh Mathai, is based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma. The movie wasn’t released despite being announced in 2017. In actuality, it has undergone a number of alterations. Aamir Khan was initially cast in the starring role. He then left, recommending that SRK take up the project. It appears that Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t handle the movie as well. Currently, Farhan Akhtar, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor are in demand.
The film will be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala under their banners Roy Kapur Films and RSVP Films who have confirmed that “the movie will definitely be made.”
Rakesh Sharma is the only Indian citizen to have travelled to space. In 1984, he and the Soviet crew went to Salyut 7 Orbital Station on the Soviet rocket Soyuz T-11. When questioned about how India seemed from space, he responded, “Sare Jahan se Achha.”

2. Kalpana Chawla Biopic
Priyanka Chopra’s name was previously mentioned, but it has since been reported that Shraddha Kapoor will play the late Indian astronaut. Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan will reportedly make cameo appearances in the film as well. Viacom 18 was originally intended to co-produce the film.
Anand L. Rai, best known for his work on Tanu Weds Manu, was reportedly set to direct the film. However, unless a formal announcement is made, nothing can confirmed at this time.
3. Chanda Mama Door Ke

“I had done a workshop at NASA when I went there two years ago. Those who trained me had said that if I continued for a few more weeks, I would have received a certificate of instructor. So, now, I am planning to go to Houston to complete the training. It consists of everything that you need to know about going to space, including sitting in the centrifuge.”
According to reports, R. Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui were also cast in the film. The movie was put on hold when things didn’t work out, though. Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, the director, had previously stated that he would revive the project in honour of Sushant when the actor passed away. But there hasn’t been any new information.
