There’s a reason people often say, “India is not for beginners,” and a recent viral video has only added to that list. A clip showing a First AC train coach decked out with flowers and decorations in a honeymoon theme left social media users both amused and surprised. The video quickly went viral, and its reach was so massive that it even caught the attention of the authorities. Soon after, Indian Railways stepped in and issued an official statement on the matter.
Indian Railways clarifies viral ‘Honeymoon Coach’ video, announces strict action
The viral video didn’t just leave social media users surprised—it also caught the attention of the railway authorities. As the clip of the flower- and balloon-decorated First AC cabin continued to circulate online, South Central Railway took to X on the evening of July 8 to clarify what had actually happened and announce the action taken in the matter.

The department explained that the decorations inside the First AC cabin were not arranged by the Railways but by a couple travelling on Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express on July 6, who had privately hired an online decorator.
“A couple travelling in Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express on 6th July, 2026 had privately engaged a decorator online to decorate their 1st AC coupe. The decorator’s entry into the coach at Jalna station was unauthorized and is viewed as a serious lapse.”
The Railways also confirmed that strict action had been initiated over the incident.
“The concerned staff member has been placed under suspension, and a detailed departmental inquiry has been ordered. Appropriate action will be taken based on the inquiry findings.”
The statement further revealed that the decorator has been booked under the relevant provisions of the Railway Act for unauthorised entry into the train, travelling without a ticket, and trespassing.

This is ridiculous. Instead of solving real issues you suspended a person for a minor reason and booked another. Thousands of miscreants, criminals, transgenders enter trains and make life difficult for us. The stations are infested with thieves and childpickers

This also highlights an opportunity. @RailMinIndia should introduce an authorized Value Added Service for decorating 1st AC coupes for special occasions. A regulated service through verified vendors would improve security, enhance passenger experience, and generate more revenue.

🚆😂 So the Railways say the decorator’s entry into the 1st AC coupe was “unauthorized”!
Well, here’s a suggestion… 😏
💡 Dear Reel Minister… oops, sorry… Railway Minister! 😅
To boost railway revenue, why not officially launch “OYO COACH” in AC class? 🤭

A peek inside the viral ‘Honeymoon Coach’
The First AC cabin was transformed into a picture-perfect romantic setting with balloons, flowers and thousands of rose petals. The entrance was decorated with a pink beaded curtain featuring heart-shaped cutouts, while the ceiling was covered with red-and-white balloons.
The folded upper berth displayed an “I Love You” message, and the lower berth featured a heart-shaped floral arrangement on neatly laid white bedding.
According to the Maharashtra-based decorator behind the setup, the couple had booked the First AC coupe for their journey and travelled by car to Jalna station while the team completed the decorations inside the train.
The now-deleted Instagram video showcased every corner of the cabin, complete with bouquets, garlands, LED lights and a floor carpeted with rose petals, before being widely reshared across social media platforms.
