Congress leader Supriya Shrinate strongly criticized Kumar Vishwas for his remarks, calling them “cheap and lewd.” She took to Twitter to condemn his statement. Furthermore, she also questioned the deeply regressive mindset behind it.

Shrinate wrote a big tweet, gist of which highlighted,

“Is a girl some kind of thing that someone can take away somewhere? Till when will people like you keep considering a woman as the property of her father first and then of her husband?”

“Neither Shatrughan Sinha ji nor his successful daughter Sonakshi needs your certificate, but your comment on a girl 17 years younger than you definitely exposes your narrow thinking.”
