Recently, poet-turned-politician Kumar Vishwas also came into the limelight for commenting on Sonakshi Sinha’s interreligious marriage. He did this by making an insensitive remark about Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha.
Kumar Vishwas indirectly criticized Shatrughan Sinha for letting her daughter marry another community
Recently, Kumar Vishwas was seen at a poetry event in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The audience showered him with love and gratitude for his poems. However, what caught everyone’s attention was not his poems but his indirect remark on actor Shatrughan Sinha. He targeted the actor for letting her daughter marry into a Muslim family. For the unaware, Sonakshi got married to actor Zaheer Iqbal this year after being in a relationship for several years.
Without naming them, Kumar Vishwas delivered a message stating that it is necessary to educate children about the Ramayana. To simplify his warning, Kumar Vishwas brought up the family of legendary Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha. Kumar Vishwas said,
Apne bachhon ko Sita Ji ki behnon aur Bhagwan Ram ke bhaiyon ke naam yaad karaiye. Ek sanket dera hu, jo samajh jae unki taaliya uthe.
Following this, he encouraged his listeners to encourage their kids to read the Ramayana and the Geeta.

In addition, Kumar Vishwas cautioned his audience about the repercussions of not following his advice. Without naming Shatrughan’s name, he stated that even if your house is named after Ramayana, someone from a different religion could still take away your daughter, Shree Lakshmi. Kumar Vishwas said:
Apne bachhon ko Ramayan padhwayi aur Geeta sunwayi. Anya tha aisa na ho ki aapke ghar ka naam to ‘Ramayan’ ho aur aapke ghar ki Shree Lakshmi ko koi aur uthakar le jaye.
Everyone in the audience cheered him loudly when he finished speaking. It’s because almost everyone knew that Sharughan Sinha had named his home Ramayan and that his daughter Sonakshi was married to Zaheer.

Mukesh Khanna earlier criticized Shatrughan Sinha for Sonakshi Sinha’s interfaith marriage
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Shatrughan Sinha received criticism just because her daughter had an interreligious marriage.
Recently, Shatrughan Sinha came under fire from Mukesh Khanna for allowing his daughter Sonakshi Sinha to marry Zaheer Iqbal. On the well-known quiz program Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), which is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha gives an incorrect answer to a question concerning the Hindu epic. This irked Mukesh Khanna. Due to this, he made insulting remarks about her upbringing. In a recent interview, Mukesh Khanna recalled his remarks.
However, Sonakshi Sinha stood up for her father and respectfully responded in his favor. Now, it will be fascinating to watch how Sonakshi will respond this time.
