Deepika Padukone returns to our screens with Shakun Batra’s third directorial Gehraiyaan, more than two years after the release of Chhapaak. Despite making a cameo appearance in Kabir Khan’s 83, Gehraiyaan is her first dominant part in a film in over two years. The OTT platform Amazon Prime Video just released Gehraiyaan, and audiences have been expressing their admiration for the film as well as appreciating the cast members’ performances.
The film’s trailer drew a great reception from the public, and the film was eagerly anticipated. However, the reaction from social media users and reviews have been divided since its release.

Gehraiyaan premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022, and quickly became a fan favourite. Deepika Padukone portrayed Alisha “Al” Khanna and Anaaya Anand portrayed Young Alisha Khanna in major roles.

Among the many mixed reactions to the film on social media, one observant fan noticed Deepika’s sister Anisha Padukone in a scene in Gehraiyaan and tweeted an image of the moment.
Who is Anisha Padukone apart from being a sister of Deepika Padukone?
For unaware, Deepika Padukone’s younger sister, Anisha Padukone, is well-known personality. However, few people know that Anisha is a self-made success. She is the CEO of The “Live Love Laugh Foundation” and a professional golf player. She has been a top-10 amateur in national rankings since she began playing golf at the age of 12 and has represented India internationally several times.

Given their age gap of barely five years, Deepika and Anisha are like closest friends. Thankfully, they are not envious of each other. Instead, they are each other’s protectors. The fact that the two sisters work in separate fields strengthens their closeness since there is no opportunity for one to step on the other’s toes.

For those who are unfamiliar with the film, there is a moment in which Deepika comes to her vacation house after decades and is seen looking at her childhood photos on the wall. Deepika’s childhood photo, which also includes her sister Anisha, is one of them.
The original photo was also provided, along with a snapshot of the situation, and the user remarked,

Deepika Padukone can be seen wearing a white and blue striped outfit and blue trousers in their childhood photo, while Anisha can be seen wearing a full-sleeved red top with one hand on her sister’s shoulder.
However, this isn’t the first time the actress has included a personal family photo in one of her films. Another admirer pointed out that Deepika Padukone used her picture in which she posed with her father Prakash Padukone in the film ‘Cocktail’ in 2012.
