1. Aman Gupta
Aman Gupta is the co-founder and Marketing Director of boAt, the world’s largest direct-to-consumer audio equipment business. He was one of the Sharks (Judges) on the popular Indian television reality programme Shark Tank India.
Aman spent a significant amount of money in the firms featured on the show, but do you know how much ownership he owns in his co-founded company, boAt?
He owns 28.1% of boAt, which he shares with fellow co-founder, Sameer Mehta. Warburg Pincus owns 36.2%, while Fireside Ventures owns 3% and Qualcomm Ventures owns the remaining 2.6%.

The boAt was previously valued at roughly Rs 2,200 crore when it secured Rs 50 crore from Qualcomm Ventures in April last year. ET reported that it expects to seek a valuation of $1.5-2 billion in its IPO this year.
2. Ashneer Grover
Ashneer Grover, the Managing Director and Co-Founder of digital payments platform BharatPe. He has been accused of being rude and obnoxious on Shark Tank India after a leaked recording of him abusing went viral.
Ashneer Grover’s name has been linked to a number of recent issues. His net worth is estimated to be Rs 700 crore, with a 9.5% share in BharatPe, and a 7.8% stake in the company held by his business partner Shashvat Nakrani.

Sequoia Capital India owns 19.6%, Ribbit Capital owns 11%, Beenext owns 9.6%, Steadview Capital owns 4.1%, Tiger Global owns 3.75%, and others own the remaining 22.3 %.
The BharatPe founder, who invests in firms introduced on Shark Tank India, now has his own company under scrutiny. He has sought Rs 4,000 crore from investors for his claimed 9.5% ownership if they want him to leave.
3. Peyush Bansal
Peyush Bansal is the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart and, with a net worth of Rs 600 crore, is unquestionably one of India’s most successful entrepreneurs.
Peyush Bansal became India’s favourite shark on the Indian TV reality show Shark Tank India. His candid comments, encouragement of entrepreneurs, and demonstration of brand loyalty when the majority of his other sharks opted to be out.

If we talk about his ownership in Lenskart, he has an 8.21% stake, followed by Neha Bansal with an 8.18% stake, SoftBank with 20.12%, Premji with 11.15%, Kedaara Capital with 9.55%, TR Capital with 8.28%, UNILAZER with 6.59%, International Finance Corporation with 5.36%, Steadview with 5.32%, and others with 17.24%.
According to the Economic Times, Lenskart is close to securing a $250 million funding deal at a $5 billion value, only five months after obtaining $315 million.
4. Ghazal Alagh
Ghazal Alagh is the Chief Innovation Officer of ‘Mamaearth,’ India’s first toxin-free skincare firm.

The Shark Tank India judge has a net worth of Rs 148 crore and owns a 3.58% in Mamaearth, while her husband and co-founder Varun Alagh has a 38.72% stake.
Sequoia Capital India has a 15.22% stake, Fireside Ventures has a 12.04% stake, Stellaris Ventures has a 10.42% interest, Sofina Ventures has an 8.25% stake, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has a 1.32% stake, and others have a 10.44% stake.
5. Namita Thapar
Namita Thapar is the Executive Director and Head of India Business for the international pharmaceutical business ‘Emcure Pharmaceuticals.’ She is a successful entrepreneur and recipient of The Economic Times’ ’40 under Forty’ award, with a net worth of over 600 crores in 2021.
Namita is a Shark Tank India shark who charges roughly Rs 8 lakh for each episode and has invested in several businesses.

In 2007, Namita joined Emcure as CFO. Namita Thapar joined Emcure as the Finance Manager and has since played an essential role in the organisation. Namita is a member of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd’s Executive Board and now manages the company’s India operations.
Namita owns 3.21% of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and her father Satish Mehta owns 41.92%, Sunil Mehta owns 6.13%, Bain Capital owns 13.09%, and others own the remaining 35.35%.
Vineeta Singh, CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics, and Anupam Mittal, CEO and founder of Shaadi.com, have yet to declare their stakes in their respective firms. There will be more updates in the future.
