Deepika Responds After Being Asked If Ranveer Gave Her Permission To On-Screen Kiss In Gehraiyaan

Fans of Deepika Padukone are looking forward to February 11th because Gehraiyaan is going to be released on Amazon Prime Video, in which Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi are also featured.

A film that scrubbed the boundaries of love from a balanced viewpoint, at least based on the trailer, was high on emotions, drama, and romance. Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi, who starred in the film together, lit up the whole thing in some incredibly emotional and intimate sequences.

While the cast and crew are busy promoting the film, Deepika recently spoke up on doing intimate moments in the film in an interview. What caught our eye, though, was her response when asked if her spouse Ranveer Singh approved of her on-screen kissing scenes.

People on social media were curious to ask  if Deepika took her husband’s permission before shooting on-screen intimate scenes on Gehraiyaan

We anticipated nothing less from a film directed by Shakun Batra, who is known for evoking strong emotions.

On the other hand, rather than enjoying something refreshing and intense in the industry, people on social media were more than eager to ask such non-sensical questions that provoked a hard-hitting response from the actress herself.

People were given a variety of nonsensical questions on several social media apps, but one question was just ridiculous. Several people attempted to ask Deepika if her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, was all right with her on-screen intimate moments with her co-star and if she asked his ‘permission’ for doing this or not.

Deepika gave a hard-hitting reply to trolls on their absurd questions

The actress reacted and shared that she feels it is stupid that a troll even asked if she sought permission from Ranveer to do the movie. She responded to the comment in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, saying,

“It’s stupid that we’re even reacting to it. I think, for us, that’s the most important thing. I don’t read comments. I’m pretty certain even he doesn’t. And, I think. Yuck! It just feels so stupid.”

What does Ranveer think about Gehraiyaan?

During the conversation, Deepika Padukone disclosed Ranveer Singh’s response after seeing the film Gehraiyaan. She stated,

“I think he is extremely proud. He’s extremely proud of the film that we made and he’s extremely proud of my performance.”

The movie is one of the first in India to include an intimate director. Dar Gai is an Indian-born Ukrainian director who worked on Gehraiyaan as the intimacy director. While speaking to PTI about this, Deepika said,

“(Having an intimacy director) adds an element of security, comfort and trust. But there is so much more to the film than intimacy. The intimacy comes in when you are trying to be authentic with modern-day relationships. It’s just a part of the film. A lot of time we shy away from showing what relationships in real life are or what they could be on screen.”

What does Deepika think about her role in the film?

According to ANI, Deepika provided a briefing on her character in the upcoming film at the trailer event and said that she will portray the character of Alisha in the film. At the event, she said,

“My character in Gehraiyaan is extremely close to my heart and certainly one of the most challenging characters I have portrayed on screen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role that was fun and challenging at the same time. Each of the characters’ struggles and arcs is real, raw, and relatable.”
