The Indian food sector has seen a significant transition due to the rise in online meal ordering. As digital technology advances quickly, meal delivery services have become increasingly important in our lives. This change is mostly due to the way that consumer behavior is evolving. Customers started increasingly wanting smooth and hassle-free eating experiences, which led the rise of this industry.
Indians now have easier access to online meal delivery services. All thanks to the country’s extensive acceptance of digitalization, which has led to a growing client base and increased market reach for companies operating in this industry. People from all walks of life can now enjoy a wide range of foodie alternatives, effectively erasing the gap between customers and food establishments.

However, even with the rise of online meal delivery services, there are a number of unresolved issues. The treatment and behavior of the frontline workers, sometimes referred to as “delivery boys” or “delivery partners,” is one the most important issues that this industry is currently facing. Even while these people are the foundation of food delivery services, a range of issues warrant careful consideration.
The most important of these worries is that certain delivery boys have a history of acting unethically. Misconduct incidents, such as stealing, tampering with orders, or acting rudely toward clients, have been reported widely. Ultimately, it damaged the industry’s confidence and damaged the reputation of delivery services.
A similar kind of incident recently was reported through a recent social media post on X. The clip, which appeared to show a Swiggy Instamart delivery guy committing theft, provoked a great deal of criticism on the internet.

Swiggy support called and just said they can’t track their rider. We need to contact their legal team or file a police complaint.
At this point its not about shoes its about safety. The rider was let into the house for delivering goods. Now we all have to think about doing it.
