Here’s What Sunny Deol And Director Anil Sharma Said About ‘Gadar 3’

The much-anticipated sequel of the 2001’s blockbuster movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 starring the hit couple Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel has been a great success once again. The movie was released on 11th August 2023 in theatres, after its grand release the movie has been running with 100 percent occupancy across the country. On Independence Day, the movie made an estimated Rs 57 crore.

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was based during the partition of India in 1947. Gadar 2 is about Tara Singh who crosses the border in an attempt to rescue his son from Pakistan. The son of the couple is played by director Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma. The movie has so far earned ₹173.88 crore in India.

Gadar 2 has been directed by Anil Sharma, and the whole team celebrated the superb success. The success of the second installment of Gadar undoubtedly calls for the next installment of the franchise, Gadar 3.

The film Gadar 2’s end credits read, “to be continued” which lifted the fans’ anticipation for the third installment of the film. The director Anil Sharma and the lead actor Sunny Deol have already hinted to the audiences about the same.

Talking about Gadar 3, Anil Sharma disclosed that it is indeed on the cards

According to the news agency ANI, Mr.Sharma spoke about Gadar 3,

“You’ll have to wait for that. Intezar ka fal meetha hota hai (the fruit of patience is sweet), just like this one (Gadar 2). Some thoughts have come to me and Shaktimaan Ji’s (writer of Gadar 2) minds. So just wait everything will happen.”

Actor Sunny Deol also spoke about Gadar 3 during a recent press conference

During the press conference on 14 August 2023, Sunny Deol talked about the sequels of some of his films including Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, Apne 2, and Gadar 3. As mentioned by ANI, he said,

“I know that everyone is waiting for these movies. Our whole family came together in Yamla Pagla Deewana and people laughed and enjoyed the movie. Everyone’s now waiting for the second part but for that, the story is very important. As of now, I don’t have the right story for it. I have a story ready for Apne. Let us see when we will start working on it.”

With the success of Gadar 2, it can be understood that there are numerous fans of the Gadar film franchise and they cannot wait for the next one. Gadar 3 is definitely on the cards but as of now those who have still not watched the newly released Gadar 3 should visit the theatres and watch it as soon as possible.
