Samantha’s admirers were thrilled to see the actress in her stunning avatar for the Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden-starring series. However, some sharp-eyed internet users saw Samantha’s old tattoo on her rib.

For those who don’t know, previously, Samantha got ‘Chay’ tattooed on the right side of her rib in tribute to her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.

In some of the photos Samantha posted on Instagram, users noted that Chay’s tattoo was still clearly visible on her body and that Samantha had kept it after their divorce.

 

Samantha has another tattoo related to Naga Chaitanya

Coincidentally, Samantha also got a tattoo honoring ‘Ye Maaya Chesave,’ the name of her first film. In the 2010 release, she and Naga Chaitanya were romantically featured in the Telugu comedy. Due to this, Samantha has always treasured the movie, as it also marked the start of their relationship.

Samantha honored it by getting the letters “YMC” inked artistically beneath the nape of her neck.

On their forearms, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya each have identical tattoos of two arrows. Naga Chaitanya also has a similar tattoo, with the addition of their wedding date. Samantha had revealed information about this tattoo on Instagram, writing,

My tattoo means create your own reality. Chay and I got it together. It’s really special for us.

Samantha and Chaitanya announced their divorce in October 2021 after getting married in 2017. While interviewing for Shaakuntalam, Samantha claimed that she was offered Pushpa’s popular song “Oo Antava” in the midst of separation.

The actress said that her loved ones advised her not to perform “an item song,” and that they advised her to decline the offer immediately after her divorce.

Apart from her personal struggles, Samantha is presently healing from the autoimmune disease myositis.
