Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar recalled his quick chat with Kohli on his way back to the pavilion

The ODI World Cup 2011 was indeed a special one. We all remember that chasing 275 runs at the Wankhede Stadium against Sri Lanka, India lost two quick wickets of Virender Sehwag and Tendulkar. After getting dismissed and on his way back to the pavilion Sachin was spotted having a quick chat with Kohli. Nobody knew what he said to the budding cricketer. However, 12 years later, today, he revealed it.

Tendulkar on his Twitter handle revealed that he informed Virat that the ball was still swinging and he should play accordingly. He said as we quote,

“Ab bhi ball thoda swing ho raha hai!”

Soon after this Kohli and Gambhir stitched an 83-run stand for the 3rd wicket. Batting at number four, the cricketer scored 35 runs off 49 deliveries meanwhile Gambhir went on to make 97. It is safe to say that their partnership set the platform for MS Dhoni to come in and take the team past the finish line.

Sachin also revealed his advice to his son Arjun when the latter decided to choose cricket as his career

Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun made his IPL debut in Mumbai Indians’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders. While the debutant could not score a wicket in that match he bagged his first wicket the left-arm pacer bagged his maiden wicket when was against Sunrises Hyderabad.

During the Q&A session, one fan asked Sachin about his first advice to his son when he decided to choose cricket as his career. Sachin revealed as we quote,
