Priyanka Chopra Once Brought Ex-Boyfriend’s Jacket To A Talk Show And Created Controversy

Indian actress, singer, and philanthropist Priyanka Chopra is a well-known name in the Indian film industry as well as Hollywood. She recently stirred controversy after discussing how she felt “cornered” in Bollywood and how it prompted her to look into other possibilities.

During her appearance in Laura Brown’s video series Dirty Laundry, Priyanka Chopra caused a stir when she brought along an old jacket that belonged to an ex-boyfriend. The show’s concept involves celebrities sharing stories about their most cherished outfits, and Priyanka decided to bring this particular jacket along.

As she pulled it out of her bag, she explained that the jacket was one of her favorites and that she “literally lived in it.” However, she also revealed that it originally belonged to an “ex-flame.” Brown was visibly surprised by this revelation, but Priyanka seemed to take it in stride.

When Brown jokingly asked if Priyanka could still smell her ex-boyfriend on the jacket, she laughed and replied,

“Oh God, I hope not. I only smell me.

Priyanka went on to explain that she never returned the jacket to her ex-boyfriend, even when he asked for it back. She seemed unapologetic about keeping the jacket, saying,

He asked for it and I said no. I was like ‘no’. That’s what happens in a relationship. Sorry! And I don’t even think about it.

What happened between Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan?

In April 2012, rumors began circulating that Priyanka Chopra was having an affair with Shah Rukh Khan, who was the husband of Karan Johar’s best friend, Gauri Khan. At the same time, Karan and Priyanka got into a feud, which some believed was Karan’s attempt to push Priyanka out of the industry.

During the promotions of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Shah Rukh Khan was asked about rumors regarding his alleged relationship with Priyanka Chopra. In response, SRK expressed his concern about the lack of respect shown towards her and all women.

He acknowledged that while he himself may not have done anything directly, he still felt sorry and responsible for the way she was being treated. He said,

I think it’s a little disrespectful, I’m extremely sorry about that. Sorry means… it’s not directly because of anything I’ve done but the fact that she’s my friend. She’s one of the closest friends I have and very close to my heart and always will be.

He expressed his disappointment at the rumors causing a strain on their friendship, especially since they had shared some of the most beautiful moments together on screen as friends. He added,

I just feel sometimes when things are said, I needed to step back from it because I find it very banal, very small, and very menial. You know, it just tends to spoil relationships that people share while working together. She’s a little girl who started her Miss India crowning with me and or Miss World crowning with me, I don’t remember. We’ve shared some of the nicest moments on screen as friends and it’s unfortunate. It’s extremely unfortunate and sad for me to think that you know, a friendship gets a little soiled.

When asked if the rumors had affected their friendship, he responded that Priyanka was mature enough to deal with it. However, he also pointed out how people often rush into labeling relationships without understanding them, and this could lead to misunderstandings and strained friendships.
