Priyanka Chopra opened up about why she left Bollywood
During a recent interview with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert, the actress spoke about being “cornered” in Bollywood and how it led her to explore other opportunities.
Priyanka stated that she wasn’t good at playing the game of politics, and therefore, she needed a break from it all.

She said,
I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people. I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break. This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people.
Priyanka comments soon went viral and become a hot topic of discussion. Her comments also ignited several old controversies that we left behind. Among them is Priyanka Chopra’s alleged feud with Karan Johar.

What happened between Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar?
In April 2012, a feud erupted between Karan and Priyanka, coinciding with rumors of Priyanka’s alleged affair with Shah Rukh Khan, Karan’s best friend and his wife Gauri’s husband.
Some believed Karan was attempting to push Priyanka out of the industry. Prompting one of Priyanka’s close friends to speak out about Karan’s mistreatment of the actress to Mumbai Mirror. The friend claimed that Karan had been gossiping about Priyanka, causing her great distress.
Nevertheless, Karan responded to the allegations on Twitter without mentioning anyone by name. Stating that using hired PR machinery and relying on “friends” to spread false news was spineless and pathetic. He urged those involved to grow up and not mess with goodness.

Despite this, in a September interview with Hindustan Times, Karan denied any problems with Priyanka. Stating that they had an excellent professional and personal relationship and hoping it would continue.
Kangana Ranaut commented on Priyanka Chopra’s revelations and her feud with Karan Johar
After Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra spoke out about the bullying and mistreatment she faced within the film industry. Which ultimately forced her to leave India, her statement was supported by various artists including fellow actress Kangana Ranaut. Kangana also blamed filmmaker Karan Johar for his role in the mistreatment.

This obnoxious, jealous, mean and toxic person should be held accountable for ruining the culture and environment of film industry which was never hostile to outsiders in the days of AB or SRK. His gang and mafia PR should be raided and held accountable for harassing outsiders.

Despite all these things, Priyanka Chopra is set to make her return to Hindi cinema in the upcoming film Jee Le Zara. The movie is directed by Farhan Akhtar and co-starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. She is also eagerly anticipating the release of the Russo Brothers’ highly anticipated series Citadel, which will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting April 28.
