The recent marriage of former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik to Pakistani actor Sana Javed has caught widespread attention since the couple announced their union on social media. Many are disappointed with this revelation and they adored Shoaib and ex-wife Sania Mirza as a couple.

Notably, Sana Javed was previously married to singer and songwriter Umair Jaswal, from whom she separated in 2023 after three years of marriage.
Soon after Shoaib Malik made his marriage with Sana public, it was disclosed that Sania Mirza had obtained a divorce from Shoaib Malik through Khula a few months ago. The Mirza family extended their best wishes to Malik on his new journey.

Now in a recent podcast on Samaa TV, veteran Pakistani journalist Naeem Hanif made startling revelations about the affair between Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed. According to Hanif, the two met on the sets of a reality show, where they developed an instant attraction. Despite both being seemingly happily married to their respective spouses, Sania Mirza and Umair Jaswal, Malik allegedly went to great lengths to have Sana join him on TV programs.
Upon discovering the affair, Sania Mirza informed Shoaib Malik’s family. His flew to Dubai in an attempt to convince the couple to work through their issues and reconcile. However, Shoaib Malik and his now-wife Sana were not open to giving their marriages another chance, ultimately leading to their decision to divorce. Imran Zafar, the husband of Shoaib Malik’s elder sister, attempted to mediate and make the cricketer and the couple reconsider, but his efforts proved futile. In a surprising turn, the entire Malik family has sided with Sania Mirza in the matter, and none of them attended Shoaib Malik’s marriage to Sana Javed.

Reports suggest that Sana initiated the divorce proceedings after Shoaib Malik ended his marriage with Sania Mirza. The singer Umair Jaswal, who was previously married to Sana, expressed complete shock at these developments.
Notably, while Malik’s family did not attend his marriage with Sana she still received a warm welcome from Shoaib Malik’s younger brother, Adeel Malik, on social media.
Several videos capturing the chemistry between Sana Javed and Shoaib Malik on various TV shows have gone viral on social media. Shoaib Malik has entered into his third marriage, having previously married Ayesha Siddiqui and later Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. Following their marriage, Sana Javed changed her name on Instagram to “Sana Shoaib Malik.”
