While Priyanka didn’t name anyone in her interview, many of fans and Bollywood enthusiasts started digging into her past and her relations with other actors.

After Priyanka Chopra in an interview with American actor Dax Randall Shepard, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut defended her. Kangana called Karan Johar an obnoxious, envious, cruel, and poisonous person who needs to be held accountable for damaging the film industry’s culture and atmosphere.

Amid all this, recently, a video from the 18th MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2016 featuring Karan Johar and actresses Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai has gone viral on the internet.

Karan Johar once admitted to trying to ruin Anushka Sharma’s career

During an on-stage interaction with Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra, Karan Johar can be heard making comments about wanting to end Anushka Sharma’s career, which has again sparked controversy and criticism.

In their talk, Karan said that he initially wanted to “murder” Anushka’s career since Sonam Kapoor was supposedly the actress he wanted to cast in the movie “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.” He said,

I totally wanted to, completely murder Anushka Sharma’s career. Because when Aditya Chopra showed me her image, I was like, ‘no, no, mad or what, you signing her, you crazy! There is no need for you to sign this Anushka Sharma’. There was another lead actress at that time who I wanted Adi to sign and I was totally behind the scene sabotaging her completely. The movie also I was reluctantly watching ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

However, he changed his mind after seeing Anushka’s performance in Band Baaja Baaraat

He considered apologizing to her at this point. He said,

But when I saw ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, I called her and I felt like I owed her an apology and a compliment. Apology because I felt so embarrassed that I would have actually ruined the graph of an exceptional talent and secondly, a compliment because I thought she was amazing.

Anushka Sharma made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the blockbuster movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and from that point on, there was no looking back for the actress. The Aditya Chopra-directed movie made over Rs. 150 crores when it was released.

Afterward, she appeared in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, directed by Karan Johar, in one of the major parts. Nevertheless, what happened between her and Karan Johar might become a passing cloud for them. But for gossipmongers, this is still gossip fodder.
