1. Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan who is often referred to as the ‘King Khan’ of Bollywood emerged as a King in the list of highest tax payers in India. Known for his blockbuster movies and successful ventures, SRK consistently tops the list of highest taxpayers in India.

For the financial year 2023-2024, he yet again topped the list by paying a whopping ₹92 crore. After a long hiatus, the actor was seen in four movies last year. Pathaan, Jawan, Dunki, and Tiger 3 are to name them.

2. Thalapathy Vijay
Thalapathy Vijay is not just a beloved superstar of the Tamil cinematic industry but also a responsible citizen. 3. Salman Khan
Salman Khan, fondly known as “Bhai” of Bollywood regardless of having no release this year secures the third spot in the list of the highest tax payers in India. Lucrative brand endorsements, and television appearances in huge hit shows like Bigg Boss showcase his unparalleled stardom. He is currently hosting the 18th installment of Bigg Boss.
For the financial year 2023-2024, he paid a staggering amount of ₹75 crore. He was last seen in movies like Tiger 3, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Pathaan.

4. Amitabh Bachchan
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan also set an example of responsibility. or the financial year 2023-2024, he secured the fourth spot among the highest taxpayers in India. Thanks to his acting projects, brand endorsements, and hosting the popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
He paid a hefty sum of ₹71 crore. This year he was seen in movies like Vettaiyan and Kalki 2898 AD.
5. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers of his generation. Among all the sportsperson in the country, he has emerged as the highest taxpayer, securing the fifth position overall in India for the financial year 2023-2024.

6. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
The next sportsperson on the list is none other than the legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Securing the sixth spot among India’s highest taxpayers for the financial year 2023-2024, Dhoni paid an impressive ₹38 crore in taxes.
With his income stemming from brand endorsements and business ventures among other things, Dhoni’s contribution reflects his commitment to nation-building.
7. Sachin Tendulkar
“Master blaster” of the cricketing world who is worshipped like anything also did not miss out on making it to the list of highest tax payers in the country.
Bagging the seventh spot on the list of highest taxpayers in India for the financial year 2023-2024, Sachin Tendulkar paid a remarkable sum of ₹28 crore.
8. Kapil Sharma
Comedy king Kapil Sharma has also made it to the list. It is a testament to his struggle, hardwork, and eventual success. His popular television show, The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, live performances, and brand endorsements have also added to his earnings.
All of this has made him secure the eighth spot on the list of highest taxpayers in India for the financial year 2023-2024. Comedy King paid an impressive ₹26 crore.

9. Kareena Kapoor
Women were no behind in the list. Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of Bollywood’s leading actresses, secured the top spot among actresses, paying a significant ₹20 crore in taxes. Films, brand endorsements, and entrepreneurial ventures like her chatshow are prime contributors for her to secure the spot.
This year, the actress featured in Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster hit Singham Again. The movie itself amassed over ₹379 crore, becoming the third highest grossing Hindi film of the year.
10. Kiara Advani
Kiara Advani, one of the most sought-after actresses in recent years has left behind many renowned actresses to make it to the list. For the financial year 2023-2024, Kiara paid a substantial ₹12 crore in taxes, securing her place among the top taxpayers.

This is truly a testament to her rising stature. She will be next seen in an action thriller film, titled Game Changer, starring with actor Ram Charan.
11. Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif who is not just a Bollywood actress but also a global icon also made her place as one of the highest taxpayers. For the financial year 2023-2024, Katrina paid ₹11 crore in taxes, reflecting her significant earnings from her successful film career, brand endorsements, and her successful business venture Kay Beauty.
She was last seen in her hit thriller romance titled Merry Christmas, where she starred with actor Vijay Sethupathi.
Some other renowned personalties who were among the highest taxpayers were Ajay Devgn who paid a sum of ₹42 crore, Ranbir Kapoor – ₹36 crore, Hrithik Roshan – ₹28 crore, Sourav Ganguly – ₹23 crore, Shahid Kapoor – ₹14 crore, Pankaj Tripathi – ₹11 crore, Mohanlal – ₹14 crore, Allu Arjun – ₹14 crore, Hardik Pandya – ₹13 crore, Aamir Khan – ₹10 crore, and Rishabh Pant – ₹10 crore.
