Amir Hussain Lone is an Indian cricketer in the para-cricket team. He lost both his arms in an accident in the sawmill owned by his father. He is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir para-cricket team and he hails from the village of Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir. In 2013, Amir’s talent was acknowledged when a teacher introduced him to para cricket. His achievements in para-cricket serve as a ray of hope and motivation for many. Recently, Amir Hussain Lone played with the Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar in the Indian Street Premier League
During the exhibition match between the cricketers and actors, in the match, Amir opened the batting with Sachin Tendulkar. Amir uses his shoulder and neck for batting. Several fans were delighted as Amir was also given a chance to bowl. Fans got to witness his astonishing talent as Amir uses his legs to bowl after losing both his arms in the accident. Sachin invited Amir Hussain Lone to play the first ball of the tournament. Sachin won hearts for his kind gesture in the ISPL and caught the attention of many on social media.

Sachin was wicket-keeping in the match and he was super impressed with Amir’s bowling and he applauded him from behind the stumps. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar also faced Amir.

In the ISPL opening ceremony, Amir’s family members were also present. Amir’s passion for cricket showcases that physical limitations cannot hinder anyone’s spirit.
During the opening ceremony of the Indian Street Premier League, movie superstars like Akshay Kumar and Ramcharan were seen dancing to the tune of the famous song ‘Naatu-Naatu’ from the movie RRR which also won the prestigious Oscar award for Best Original Song.
