Rahul faced a huge thigh injury in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2023 and had to undergo intensive surgery. The right-handed batsman even had to miss the group-stage matches of the Asia Cup for his injury. He was skeptical about his performance post-surgery but he did way better than what he anticipated. In fact, he delivered a terrific performance and the fans couldn’t keep calm. Rahul scored 111 runs off 106 balls including 12 fours and two sixes, being a perfect example of how to overcome your setbacks and bounce back stronger.

Also, you must not forget about the pivotal role that Virat Kohli played in the victory of Team India against Pakistan. He strikingly supported KL Rahul’s feat with another outstanding century by scoring 122 runs off 94 deliveries. The duo formed a daunting partnership of 233 runs making history as the highest partnership run in the history of the Asia Cup.
