Not just this, he even called the company’s car designs “gobar kinda designs” and an “eyesore.” In his view, the Mahindra Be6e was no exception. He then went on to compare Mahindra unfavorably with competitors like Hyundai, questioning the design team’s taste and expressing disappointment in the brand’s overall reliability and quality.

Anand Mahindra gives a top-notch reply to the man who criticized Mahindra Vehicles & Services
Despite the harsh tone of the post, Anand Mahindra handled the situation with remarkable composure and chose to respond thoughtfully. In his reply, Anand Mahindra acknowledged the criticism and thanked Sushant for voicing his concerns. Sharing a screenshot of the post, he admitted that the company still had a long way to go but also emphasized the significant progress they had made.
He recalled the early days of the Mahindra Group’s journey and wrote,
“When I joined the company in 1991, the economy had just been opened up. A global consulting firm strongly advised us to exit the car business since we had no chance, in their view, of competing with the foreign brands that would enter. Three decades later, we are still around and competing fiercely. We have used all the surrounding cynicism, scepticism—and even rudeness, as in your post—to fuel our hunger to succeed.”
In his tweet, he also added a line from Robert Frost’s poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, saying,

By writing so, he further acknowledged that there was no room for complacency and reiterated the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.

While he appreciated their promptness in addressing potential concerns, he found it unprofessional to use contact details from a booking record instead of directly reaching out on the platform.
He clarified that his critique stemmed from a desire for Indian brands to deliver niggle-free products comparable to global standards and expressed admiration for some Mahindra models like the Thar.
I deleted the mahindra tweet which I expressed my views about advising anand mahindra ji about my ranting on their product experience during my research, my views about looks, sorting basic niggles and customer experiences first, observed during my research after booking one last…

What a heart-warming reply Anand ji. Way to go❤️🇮🇳. India needs to support such level-headed properietors and brands with grit and iron will. Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, XUVs would remain an inseparable of a rural and urban Indian. For posterity.

It is easier to criticise. But someone looking for improvement than he should advise the way forward to achieve that.
In my opinion Mahindra has done wonderfully and exceptionally well. India’s own brand. @makeinindia @anandmahindra
