A recent incident in Kielce, Poland took the football craze to a whole new level, when a patient at a hospital undergoing operation continued to watch the World Cup match during the procedure.

According to the Dailymail report, the man underwent surgery on his “lower regions” on November 25 in Kielce. Being a football fan, the man took permission from the doctors to watch the match between Wales and Iran during his operation.
The doctors agreed to it and let him watch the World Cup on the television set in one corner of the operation theatre. The patient was under spinal anesthesia during the procedure, which lasted up to three hours. The man got enough time to watch the Wales team get defeated. He just proved that a die-hard football fan can go to extreme levels to not miss a match. The man sure had his priorities straight.
The photograph of the man watching the FIFA World Cup while undergoing an operation was shared on social media by the Poland hospital which went viral.
The caption read,

When the Indian business tycoon Anand Mahindra came across the photograph of the patient watching the World Cup at the operation theatre, here is what he said:
The heavily impressed chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra took to Twitter and shared the tweet of Notes from Poland. He wrote that the man deserves some kind of trophy by tagging FIFA.
