Aamir Khan reaction on the Kashmir Files

The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, is continuing its dream run at the box office. With its acceptance and collecting, the film has set a precedent. The picture is just growing better with each passing day, as seen by its 9th-day box office haul.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s second Saturday, or Day 9, had its highest-ever single-day collection and crossed the 20 crore milestone in a single day. The film grossed an astounding Rs. 24.80 crores on Saturday. The film has now grossed a whopping Rs. 141.25 crores worldwide.

Despite conflicting reviews from critics, the film’s critics applauded it for drawing attention to the forced expulsion of Kashmiri Hindus from the Kashmir valley. Throughout the film, the storyline switches between the present day (2021) and memories of 1989–1990.

These real-life events are re-enacted in the film through the perspective of an elderly patriot, Pushkar Nath Pandit (Anupam Kher character in The Kashmir Files), his four best friends, and his on-the-edge grandson, Krishna (Darshan Kumaar). Krishna’s pursuit for truth, oblivious to his history, is the plot.

Although uncovering old wounds may not provide a solution but healing could only occur if the trauma has been accepted by all sections of society. Agnihotri goes all around without diluting the events, making for an exciting viewing experience. He prefers shocks to delicacy.
