IRCTC has always been a topic of discussion for various reasons, sometimes for overcharging for food and water, and sometimes for misbehaving with travelers and failing to provide solutions to problems when asked. Now, a clip of a vendor crying and sitting on the Vande Bharat train went viral after he explained in a video how he worked hard for long hours, but when asked for his three-month salary, he was fired and told to get off the train in Meerut. After the video went viral, IRCTC responded to the viral video, claiming there was no unjust termination.
The vendor allege he was fired for asking for his three months’ due salary
Recently, a video was shared on X by @trainwalebhaiya. The video has a vendor boarded on a Vande Bharat train explaining how he was fired by his contracting company because he had recently posted a video regarding the salary issue in the company.
The video had a caption:

“Imagine working 14–16 hours daily for just ₹12,000… and then getting fired simply for asking for your salary. This is the condition of vendors in Indian Railways.
No one to listen, no one to care.
@IRCTCofficial @RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw is this fair?”

In the video, he started by telling how he received a call from the general manager of his company, who told him to get off at the next station. In another sense, he told him he was fired.
“I received a call from the company’s GM, asking to be dropped off at the next station.”
He further explains that after this, his manager came to him and told him to leave the train in Meerut because he had received a call from management.

“My manager came and told me to get off the train at Meerut because he got a call from upper management and was told to tell me to get off the train.”
He added that he has worked hard for three months without a salary and a month and a half at this company. Further, he added, he just wants his salary.

He also added that the salaries of some of his co-workers are also pending. But no one was ready to step forward because they didn’t want to get involved in any problem. So, he made a video and posted it on Facebook. He also said that he has not received his salary for the past three months, which left him in debt of 15,000-20,000 rupees, and he does not know how he is going to pay if he doesn’t receive his salary.
IRCTC’s reply to the viral video of a vendor, “All dues have been cleared”
After the video went viral on X, IRCTC has finally replied. They wrote that all the dues of the vendor have been paid, and he was fired because of his poor service and bad behavior. They further added that the companies have been told to make timely payments to their staff according to their contracts.
“All dues to the staff have been cleared. He was discontinued due to repeated complaints of misbehavior and poor service. Licensees have been directed to ensure timely staff payments as per contract terms.”

Truly heartbreaking..💔 😔.. Working tirelessly day in and day out for such meager pay, only to be punished for speaking up.. This is exploitation at its worst.. The system should protect workers, not crush them. No one deserves this injustice..😡🤬

This is not just limited to Indian Railways. That’s how corporates work in India.
Indian corporates are arrogant & abusive. They expect you to be submissive with no questions asked.
Can anyone dare to say “i want this job bcz i want money” in any interview?

If you are saying that the misbehave happened, do share the proof, don’t just randomly say things like that.
