Pakistan and Zimbabwe are perhaps among the top candidates among cricket’s oddest rivalries and the ones where you least expect to see supporters fighting among themselves. However, as the two teams squared off on Thursday (October 27) at the Optus Stadium in Perth for the 2022 T20 World Cup, the supporters of each team were engaged in a heated Twitter debate.
Many are surprised to learn that the controversy on both sides has nothing to do with cricket and is instead a result of a fake Mr. Bean.

It all began when Pakistan Cricket’s official Twitter account posted images of the players getting ready for the match against Zimbabwe. A Twitter user by the name of Ngugi Chasura replied to the tweet by saying that Zimbabweans wouldn’t forgive Pakistan for sending “Fraud Pak Bean” instead of “Mr. Bean Rowan” and promised that Zimbabwe would make up for the mistake in their upcoming match.
As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan ..we will settle the matter tommorow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK

Let me explain that “Fake Pak Bean” is actually Pakistani comedian Asif Muhammad, who is well-known for being a Mr. Bean lookalike. Muhammad portrayed Mr. Bean when he performed a comedy show in Zimbabwe in 2016. According to reports, Muhammad received invitations to a comedy show, road shows, and the Harare Agricultural Show.
While it was all happening, nobody thought that Zimbabwe could defeat Pakistan. However, destiny had different plans. Speaking of the game, Pakistan choked again, this time against an unlikely side.

While Pakistan is seeking to recover from their painful last-ball loss to Team India in the 2022 T20 World Cup opening on Sunday at the MCG, they were humiliated by Zimbabwe’s squad by just 1 run, which many Pakistani pundits and supporters find embarrassing.
The win not only made headlines in Zimbabwe and Pakistan but also in India, as Indians are known to be Pakistan’s major rivals. While many Indians rejoiced at the moment by making memes, many Indians also took to Twitter to make the “Fake Pak Bean” jibe come to life.
The “Fake Pak Bean” jibe has become the talk of the town, and many well-known brands have also used it to make headlines. Among them is a well-known food-delivery website, Zomato. His tweet has recently become a major centre of attraction on the Internet.

Naturally, Zimbabweans are cherishing the moment as they had their revenge against Pakistan for the insane act of sending the fake Mr. Bean back in 2016 following Thursday’s triumph.
