After his $44 billion acquisition of the social media giant which gave rise to numerous controversies, Musk finally took the big step. The billionaire Elon Musk was quick to fire the former Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal along with several other prominent leaders.

The leaders of Twitter Inc. who are supposedly leaving the company after Musk’s takeover are Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, who joined Twitter in 2017; Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy and trust; Sean Edgett, the general counsel at Twitter since 2012, according to the Bloomberg reports.

When co-founder Jack Dorsey resigned unexpectedly Parag Agrawal stepped into the role of CEO in November. Agrawal had been a part of Twitter for almost a decade. Before his run as CEO, he was a chief technology officer. Musk’s arrival as a major shareholder disrupted his position. There were increasing controversies and confusion regarding the current leadership.

It soon became apparent that Agrawal won’t be able to keep his job after the arrival of Musk.

The Twitter debates between Agarwal and Musk were quite evident. The Tesla chief once revealed in a tweet that he doesn’t like the company’s management. Musk tweeted,

“I don’t have confidence in management”

When Parag Agrawal defended the company’s user metrics on Twitter in May, Elon Musk replied to the Twitter thread with a poop emoji.

Musk even asked his followers if Twitter was “dying.”

Agrawal encountered him via text. He wrote,

“You are free to tweet ‘is twitter dying?’ or anything else about Twitter” “but it’s my responsibility to tell you that it’s not helping me make Twitter better in the current context.”

To this, Musk shot back,

“What did you get done this week?” And then: “I’m not joining the board this is a waste of time.”

Musk even went on to mock Agrawal in messages with a friend for being on vacation in Hawaii during deal negotiations.

Of course not! According to Reuters, as part of the deal, the CEO will vest 100% of his unvested equity awards, according to the filing. As estimated by the Research firm Equilar he’ll make an estimated $42 million.
