Speaking about Anant Ambani’s strong resolve and devotion to his diet plan and rigorous exercise regimen despite experiencing periods of weakness, he said,
During the first phase, we focused on his nutrition which included protein, low carbs, fibres, etc. We started walking from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on his capacity. Initially, the workouts were low on intensity as he was unable to do high sets, high reps due to his medical issue and body-balancing problems.
Reportedly, Anant lost a significant amount of weight by engaging in a tough exercise program lasting 5–6 hours per day, including yoga, weight training, functional training, a 2-kilometer walk, and cardio.

He also followed a low-carb, low-fat, high-protein, and sugar-free diet, ingesting 1200–1400 calories per day, mostly from dairy products, fresh vegetables, lentils, and sprouts. Throughout this period, he absolutely avoided eating junk food.
How Anant Ambani gained weight again?
Anant’s weight loss journey was an inspiration to many, but unfortunately, his joy was short-lived. His recent photos and videos clearly showed that he again gained much of his weight.
After the pictures from his engagement ceremony went viral on social media platforms, netizens posted derogatory comments about his weight gain, while many others expressed shock over the fact that he had gained all of his weight back.
However, the reality is quite different. In a 2017 interview, Nita Ambani revealed that Anant had severe asthma and had been administered medicines, which had led him to gain weight. Speaking to the media, she said,
Anant was highly asthmatic so we had to put him on a lot of steroids. He suffers from obesity. Hence, the treatment for asthma resulted in a lot of weight gain.
