1. Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani celebrate his birthday on April 19.

He was born in Aden, Colony of Aden which now happens to be in Yemen. He was brought up and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

2. Mukesh Ambani was born to Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani and Ms. Kokilaben Ambani.

7. Marriage with Nita Ambani.

Mukesh Ambani married Nita Ambani in 1984, and they have two sons, Anant and Akash, and a daughter, Isha. It all started with when Dhirubhai had attended a dance performance where Nita had participated and then he thought of getting Mukesh married to him.

8. Mukesh established Reliance Infocomm Limited which is now known as Reliance Communications Limited.

After the stroke of his father in 1986 and the death of Rasikbhai Meswaji in 1985, the company came into the hands of Mukesh and his brother Anil. Dhirubhai treated him like a business partner and allowed him to take decisions independently even with less experience in the market.

9. Split between the two brothers after the death of Dhirubhai Ambani in 2002.

Dhirubhai Ambani died in 2002, due to another heart stroke and then tensions arose between Anil Ambani and Mukesh Ambani because their father did not leave any will behind. It was Kokilaben who intervened the feud and decided that Reliance Industries Limited and Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited will come under Mukesh, which was later given as ‘yes’ by the Bombay High Court in December 2005.

The refinery was commissioned on 14 July 1999.
