Virat Kohli Instagram post Gautam Gambhir fight

The Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir were involved in a war of words after the Indian Premier League game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants on Monday. The altercation resulted in both the cricketing stalwarts getting slapped with a 100% fine on their respective match fee, for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.

However, it all started after Kohli’s altercation with Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq while the latter was batting.

For the unversed, Kohli and Naveen came face to face during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants with the two players involved in a heated argument twice during the game.

First it happened in the 17th over of the Lucknow Super Giants’ innings when a heated argument took place between Kohli and Naveen. Later, things took an ugly turn as both the cricketers had to be separated while shaking hands at the end of the match.

The Though things looked fine after the handshake, but LSG opener Kyle Mayers then walked up to Kohli and started talking about something when Gambhir came and took Mayers away. Following this, Gautam Gambhir lost his cool and was seen animatedly speaking to Virat Kohli. Other players, including KL Rahul, and support staff were seen trying to separate these two.

Virat Kohli shared a cryptic Instagram story

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, Kohli took to his social media and shared a cryptic story, which seemed to be in response to the stories and reports that have been surfacing on social media over the ugly incident that took place during the game.

In his Instagram story, Kohli wrote,

 “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth”

Later, Naveen-ul-Haq also took to his social media and shared a cryptic post

Taking a dig at King Kohli. Naveen’s story appeared to be a sly dig at Kohli. The message in his story read,

“You get what you deserved that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes,”

Talking about the game, RCB pulled off a sensational win in the game by 18 runs. After posting a low-score target of 126 runs on the scoreboard, RCB bowlers made a brilliant return with the ball. They successfully managed to restrict the hosts for a total of 108 runs.

Notably, RCB defended the lowest-ever successful total in the ongoing 2023 edition of the IPL.
