For a while now, news about the weddings of Bollywood celebrities has been dominated by Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, since they married in a surprising turn of events.

On December 9 of last year, Vicky and Katrina Kaif exchanged vows in Rajasthan in front of their close friends and family. They held lavish wedding festivities from December 7 to 9 at Six Senses Fort Barwara. Mehendi, haldi, sangeet, and the wedding were among the rites.

Their wedding, as well as public displays of affection, become the talk of the town. It is impossible to ignore the fact that the two behave and speak about their affection for one another as if they are teenagers in love. Many people even tagged their love for each other as “couple goals” and “cheesy banter.” But one thing is for sure: their love story is actually unique.

Given the fact that Katrina Kaif is older than Vicky Kaushal and no one even speculated that they could be in love, their wedding comes as a surprise to everyone. And I am sure that their parents must have been surprised at first too.

Recently, in an interview, Vicky talked about his marriage with Katrina and revealed how his parents reacted to their wedding

In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Vicky Kaushal said,

They were very happy. They are extremely fond of her. They’re extremely in love with the person that she is. I think when there’s goodness in your heart, it always just reflects in everything that you do and everything that you are.

When asked if he can recall the moment he initially fell in love with Katrina, he responded by saying it is “extremely private and special to me.”

He spoke further candidly about how he would never find himself in the same situation as his character in Govinda Naam Mera at the film’s promotion. He said,

I believe in loyalty and consider myself a true Taurus in that regard. Loyalty is one of the most crucial and important foundations in any relationship, not only in a romantic relationship but in any relationship. Be it friendship, a romantic relationship, brothers, sisters, mother, father, or anything else. So that is my personal take

When discussing his married life, the actor stated,

It’s been beautiful. It’s been like the best chapter of my life. It’s the most wonderful feeling to have a companion with whom you connect, who understands you and who you understand thoroughly. Because it puts you in a peaceful, blissful state of mind that makes you feel loved all the time. And when you feel loved, you feel like giving love not just at home but outside the house as well. It just brings out the best version of yourself.

Afterward, he praised Katrina passionately once again

Emphasizing how good she is. He stated,

She’s wise, she’s kind and she’s extremely respectful to people around her. She’s never said anything negative about anyone around her in the years I’ve known her. That is something that I truly admire and respect about her, because I’ve not seen anyone like that. Sometimes without any malice, sometimes without any intention, you tend to speak about someone critically but I’ve never seen her do that

Regarding her professional life, Katrina most recently appeared with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the horror comedy movie Phone Bhoot. She will be next seen with Salman Khan in the action thriller Tiger 3 and with Vijay Sethupathi in Merry Christmas.

Vicky, on the other hand, last appeared alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in Govinda Naam Mera. On December 16, the movie, directed by Shashank Khaitan, went live exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. Along with that, he has Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur and Laxman Utekar’s next untitled movie.
