Link-ups between Bollywood actresses and cricketers are not uncommon. The news that attracts the media the most is the controversies related to them. Recently, the model and actress Urvashi Rautela has grabbed eyeballs and made headlines for her comments on Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and also on Naseem Shah, the Pakistani pace-sensation.

Did Urvashi really apologize to Pant?

In an interview with InstantBollywood, Rautela was asked if she had anything to say to the cricketer, Rautela said with folded hands,

“All I want to say is nothing. Sorry, I’m sorry.”

Most fans interpreted that it was an apology to Pant, but Urvashi clarified later that it was not the case.

Rautela posted an Instagram story on Wednesday clarifying it and said:

“These days official news articles & so called meme pages (worst marketers) are more scripted than movies or a [TV] show[!] That sorry was for my fans & loved ones that I had nothing to say…” #WhyTheNewIsNotTheTruth #falsemisleadinglight #greatscript #FactsAreNotCopyrightable.

Her apology was intended for the fans because she was not able to answer the question.

She added hashtags ‘why the news is not the truth’, ‘false misleading light’, ‘great script’, and ‘facts are not copyrightable’.

It seems that Rishabh and Urvashi memes are inevitable after such public mishaps between the two.

How did Urvashi and Rishabh’s fight catch the eyes of netizens?

It all began with Rautela’s Instagram post which she deleted later. In the post, she called Rishabh Pant, “Chotu Bhaiya.” The actress wrote,

“Chotu bhaiyaa should play bat ball. Main koyi munni nahi hoon badnam hone with young kiddo darling tere liyee #Rakshabandhan Mubarak ho #RPChotuBhaiyya#Cougarhunter #donttakeadvantageofasilentgirl #love #UrvashiRautela #UR1”.

It was in response to Pant responding to her interview,

“It’s funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and for hitting the headlines. Sad how some people are so thirsty for fame and name. May God bless “merapichachorhoBehen #Jhutkibhilimithotihai.”

This story was later deleted by the cricketer.

In the interview that went viral, Urvashi was seen stating a remark indirectly about Rishabh Pant by addressing him as “Mr. RP”. She said,

“Mr RP came to the hotel lobby and wanted to meet. Ten hours passed and I fell asleep. I couldn’t attend any calls and when I woke up I saw 16-17 missed calls and I felt so bad that someone was waiting for me and I couldn’t meet them. I told him we’ll meet when you come to Mumbai. We met in Mumbai but a huge drama happened with the paps and all”
