TMKOC Producer Asit Kumarr Modi Finally Responds To Allegations Made By Jennifer Mistry

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most loved and popular family sitcoms. It is also one of the longest-running comedy family shows in the history of television. The plot line and the characters of the show are widely loved and appreciated by the audience, however, the show has been hitting the headlines for all controversial reasons over the past few months.

Jennifer Mistry made some serious allegations about producer Asit Kumarr Modi

Now, in another sensational news, Jennifer Mistry, who plays the role of Roshan Singh Sodi has left the show and the actress has accused the producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi and two other members of the production of mental and sexual harassment.

Recently in an interview, Jennifer Mistry allegedly accused Asit Kumarr Modi of s*xual assaults multiple times. As per the actress, Asit tried to take advantage of the situation and made her feel really uncomfortable at times. She said:

“From the beginning, Asit ji used to say ‘you are looking very nice.’ He once asked me what do you drink to which I boldly said whiskey. After this, he repeatedly asked me to come and drink whiskey with him. Although it was jokingly, however, things changed in 2019 when our entire team went to Singapore. During the trip, Asit me to come and drink whiskey in his room. I was surprised to hear this from him. Then a day later he said, ‘you are looking very beautiful, I feel like holding and kissing you. Hearing this, I trembled in fear.”

She further revealed that she took help from her colleagues and filled in on the incidents that occurred with her. She revealed:

 “I told two of my colleagues about this. One slammed Asit Modi while the other tried to protect me in front of him. Once Asit Modi said, ‘If you don’t have a room partner at night, come and drink whiskey in my room. When things did not seem to go his way, he started giving me less screen space,”

Asit Kumarr Modi has decided to take legal action now

Meanwhile, Asit Kumarr Modi has finally reacted to the allegations made by Jennifer. Speaking with AajTak, Asit Modi said that he will take legal action against Jennifer Bansiwal for trying to defame him and the show. He said that the actress has made baseless allegations against him.

He said,

“We will take legal action as she is trying to defame me and the show both. Since we terminated her services, she is making these baseless allegations.”

Project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj also refused the allegations made by the actress and said that Jennifer used to misbehave with everyone on the sets of the show. The duo confirmed that they have already registered a complaint. They said:

“She lacked basic discipline on the set and was not focusing on her work. We regularly had to complain to the production head about her behaviour. On her last day she was abusive in front of the whole unit and left the set without finishing her shoot,”

“She regularly misbehaved on the show with the entire team. While moving out from the shoot, she rashly drove her car out at very high speed not caring for people in her way. She even damaged the set property. We had to terminate her contract because of her bad behaviour and indiscipline during the shoot. During this incident, Asit ji was in the USA. She is now trying to defame us and the show by making baseless allegations. We have already filed our complaint against these baseless allegations with the concerned authorities.”
