Suryakumar Yadav, after having a glorious peak in his career in 2022, has started off 2023 with incredible form. On Saturday he scored the third T20I century of his career against Sri Lanka. He showed off his skills in the series decider between India and Sri Lanka which took place at the Saurashtra Cricket Academy (SCA) Stadium in Rajkot.

Suryakumar scored the century in just 45 balls thereby making it the second-quickest ton in the format by an Indian. Besides, he also became the second Indian and the fifth international player in the world to score three or more tons in men’s T20I cricket.

The Indian cricket fans did not forget to show their love and support to Suryakumar as he continues to dominate the shortest format. The World No.1 T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav, has scored all three tons in this format only in the last six months. On January 7th his century against Sri Lanka was his first century in international cricket on home soil. He achieved the three-figure mark in last year’s bilateral tour of England and New Zealand respectively.

Virat Kohli also took to social media to appreciate Suryakumar’s effort. The former Indian skipper took to Instagram to post a story with a few ‘fire’ and ‘clapping’ emojis to applaud the Indian team’s stand-in vice-captain.

After the match ended on Saturday with India sealing the series with a 91-ball runs victory, Suryakumar returned to the dressing room. He was on cloud nine to see Kohli’s praise for him on his Instagram story.

He exclaimed in joy saying

‘Kisne daala hei ye story’

Suryakumar was ecstatic on seeing Kohli’s special post for him and also said,

‘Story pe chalta hei mazza aagaya’

Suryakumar also wrote back with a smiling face as he typed the reply to Direct Message. He wrote
