Shilpa Shetty's Husband Raj Kundra Writes 'We Have Separated', Netizens React

Shilpa Shetty’s husband, businessman Raj Kundra has been keeping a low profile after the controversies about him spread all over the news. In July 2021, Raj Kundra was arrested and detained in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail for his link with an alleged pornography-related case. After spending about two months, he was granted bail by a metropolitan magistrate. He stepped out of jail in September. He was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act.

Amidst those controversies, many speculated that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are going to split. After his jail time, Raj Kundra started making public appearances wearing masks to hide his face, which once again made headlines.

Recently, he unmasked himself in front of journalists when the trailer for his upcoming movie, UT 69, was revealed and said that,

I wore the mask out of pain. The media trial was painful. It was more painful than my legal trial that’s going on. I don’t blame you (addressing media) as you were doing your work. But it was so painful that I wanted to cover up. I don’t want to be spotted. I don’t want to about get clicked.

With his upcoming film UT 69, Raj intends to share his side of the story about his jail term. UT 69 will be released in theatres on November 3.

The businessman and budding actor, Raj Kundra once again grabbed headlines when he took to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) and announced his separation from his wife Shilpa Shetty

He wrote without mentioning a clear context,

“We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period.”

This random post confused the netizens and some users wondered if it was a promotional gimmick or if he had indeed parted ways from his wife, Shilpa.

In a later post, Raj disclosed that he was actually ‘separating’ from his masks that he has been wearing everywhere for the past few months
