Raj Kundra, a well-known Indian-British businessman, has long been a well-known personality in India, not just for his commercial endeavors but also because of his highly publicized marriage to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. After years of dating, the couple married got married in 2009. Since then, they have formed a family with their two kids. Despite the media’s fascination with their relationship, little is known about Kundra’s personal life, including his prior marriage.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Kundra found himself embroiled in a protracted cycle of controversy. The story started when Mumbai Police detained him in connection with an alleged case involving the creation of pornographic content last year.

Since then, the businessman has navigated the public eye amidst a mix of glamour and contention. It also prompted him to adopt a low-profile strategy, often concealing his face behind masks. We can also see this when he was recently spotted with his wife Shilpa Shetty while they went on a date.

Masks covering their faces, the two posed for photographers. They were referred to by the press as a “power ranger couple.” While Karan didn’t reveal his face, Shilpa Shetty took off her mask just before going into the restaurant in response to a request from the photographers.

Nevertheless, breaking this trend, he recently revealed his face. Not only this, but he also revealed the real reason why he concealed his face with a mask.

Raj Kundra decided to remove his mask on Wednesday when the trailer for his forthcoming movie, UT 69, was unveiled. The movie is a fictionalized account of Kundra’s real-life story. It details his legal troubles stemming from the purported creation of pornographic content. Shahnawaz Ali’s film, which follows Kundra’s journey, begins with the entrepreneur attending the press conference while sporting a helmet-like mask, which he eventually took off in front of the journalists.

During the event, Raj Kundra shed light on the motive behind concealing his identity for months. He said,

I wore the mask out of pain. The media trial was painful. It was more painful than my legal trial that’s going on. I don’t blame you (addressing media) as you were doing your work. But it was so painful that I wanted to cover up. I don’t want to be spotted. I don’t want to get clicked.

Meanwhile, Raj Kundra recently tried his hands in stand-up comedy. Despite his efforts to stay out of the spotlight, Kundra’s Instagram video revealed his comic side. Kundra amusingly identified himself as “Shilpa ka pati” and “Sasta Kanye West,” entertained in black attire and LED mask. He even adopted the name “Maskman” and made light of trolls. During the laughter, Kundra told stories from his life, including his struggle stories. This unexpected comedy project gave Kundra’s public persona a more upbeat tone.
