Sara Tendulkar Responds To Instagram Posts That Called Her ‘Fat’

A paparazzo body-shamed Sara Tendulkar, calling her fat in the video

The controversy began when paparazzo Tahir Hussain, known as ITahir Jasus on Instagram, uploaded a video of Sara Tendulkar coming out of the airport on his account. While the video didn’t have anything offensive, it was a caption on the video that raised everyone’s eyebrows. The caption on the video says, “Moti wali Sara hai, bagal wali bhabhi hai,” which means something like “The fat one is Sara, and the one next to her is her sister-in-law.”

The second lady appearing in the video turned out to be none other than the entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok, who recently got married to Sara’s brother, Arjun Tendulkar.

While celebrity spotting pages often post candid airport appearances, many social media users felt the caption crossed a line by reducing the women to insulting labels and physical descriptions. There were many who commented against the caption on the post, questioning why personal remarks about appearance are still treated as humor on public platforms.

Sara Tendulkar blasts Tahir Hussain’s post

Sara Tendulkar certainly didn’t overlook the post. She took to Instagram Stories and posted an image of the video alongside her message, directed at the owner of the Instagram account, describing the behavior as “disgusting.”

In a strong-worded response, she wrote,

You are disgusting. This is not journalism. Leave. Us. Alone.

Not long after that, Tahir Hussain took down his post from Instagram. However, Sara didn’t let off just yet, insisting that merely deleting the post wouldn’t fix anything, considering how much damage had already been done.

In the second post featuring nauseated faces emojis, Sara wrote,

You can delete your post, but that doesn’t make you any less disgusting.

Her comment attracted a lot of attention on social media, with many people appreciating Sara for speaking up against body-shaming and the actions of some paparazzi.
