Samantha made headlines in 2022 for an unfortunate incident in her life. The actress revealed that she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. Myositis makes one’s immune system attack their muscles. It results in chronic inflammation and goes over a long time.
The actress has been posting her health updates every now and then for her fans through social media. She was also accused by some of gathering pity for her condition to promote her movies.

Samantha took an acting break due to her health condition to undergo treatment. After she completed her work for her upcoming Telegu movie, Kushi, and the Indian version of Citadel, she took a break to undergo treatment in the US.
A source close to the actor stated,
“Few months back, Samantha decided that she will be taking a break from acting, and was just waiting to wrap up her projects — Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda and the Indian segment of Citadel with Varun Dhawan. When I checked with her a few months back, she told me that she is not signing any projects currently,”

According to some reports, Samantha had spent a lot of money on her treatment. Recently, a Sakshi TV video report claimed that Samantha had borrowed ₹25 crores from a well-known actor in the Telugu film industry. The identity of the actor had not been revealed.

Samantha dismissed the rumours and responded by putting up a story on her Instagram account
The Yashoda actress put up a story that stated that she has not taken any financial help from anyone. She also mentioned that the amount said in the rumour is too much money for treating myositis. Samantha wrote that she can take care of herself as she was paid enough for her work to be able to do so.

“25 crore to treat myositis? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I am glad I am only spending the smallest fraction of that.”
“And I don’t think I was paid in marbles for the all the work I’ve done in my career. So, I can easily take care of myself. Thank you.”
“Myositis is a condition thousands suffer from. Let’s please be responsible with the information we put out regarding the treatment.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was recently seen in Shaakuntalam and the thriller Yashoda in 2022. In her upcoming movie Kushi, she is cast alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
