Samantha Ruth Prabhu Sweet Reply To Fan Who Praised Her For Her Hindi Speaking Skills

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in the upcoming Telugu film Shaakuntalam which is based on Kalidasa’s critically acclaimed Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The film is ready to hit the big screens on April 14. So definitely as expected, the actress is busy with her promotional schedule prior to the release. Samantha was in Mumbai to attend another promotional event and spoke in impeccable Hindi.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has responded to a fan who praised her for speaking Hindi well. Samantha took to Instagram on Saturday to share a video from her recent trip to Mumbai for the promotion of her upcoming film. The actor paired a white blazer with pants for the event.

Netizens are in awe of Samantha’s Hindi

In the video, Samantha was seen at a theatre in Juhu. She is seen saying, “Let’s do this” as she got down from her car. She smiled and she bowed gracefully with folded hands at the audience. She also blew a kiss at her fans. Apart from Samantha, her Shaakuntalam co-star Dev Mohan and the whole team of the film were also present at the promotional event. Shaakuntalam, which is a whimsical tale, revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant.

Samantha spoke to the audience in Hindi and said,

“Shaakuntalam trailer ko aap logo ne jaese support kiya hai aur ko pyaar diya hai uske liye bohut bohut shukriya. Mujhe umeed hai ki aap isi tarah mujhe aur Shaakuntalam ki team ko apne support denge aur is film ko sirf theatre mein jaake dekhenge. Thank you so so much”

The actor captioned the post,

Praising Samantha’s Hindi speaking skill a fan commented,

“Wow you spoke so clean and neat”

To which Samantha replied,

“Yay I did”

Another user said, “That Hindi though.” An Instagram user also said, “Omg your Hindi is superb.”

Samantha had spoken about her role in Shaakuntalam to the reporters in Mumbai. As quoted by the news agency PTI she said,

“I had first said no because I was doing The Family Man 2, in which I had a real role. Since childhood, Disney has been my favourite genre. Irrespective of whether I am happy or sad, I would watch Disney films. So, I did not have confidence that I could play Shakuntala, a princess, a symbol of perfection”

She added,

“I was scared. If you see, in the last three years, I have been taking on a lot of challenges. Then I spoke to the producer, Dil Raju, who had a lot of confidence (in me). I thought of taking it (up) as a challenge because it is my only chance to play a role that I dreamt of as a child”
