Despite the personal setbacks, Samantha is keeping busy with her work commitments. She is all set to dazzle on the silver screen with her upcoming mythological romantic drama Shaakuntalam, which is scheduled for release on April 14. The film, directed by Gunasekhar, also stars Dev Mohan in the lead role.
In addition, Samantha has the film Kushi lined up for release, in which she stars alongside Vijay Deverakonda. This will be the second time the duo will be seen sharing the screen after their previous collaboration in the National Award-winning film Savitri. Kushi was extensively shot in Kashmir and is set to hit theatres on September 1.
Furthermore, Samantha is currently shooting for the Indian adaptation of the American series Citadel, created by Raj and DK. The series features Varun Dhawan and Samantha in a leading role.
