In an interview with ETimes, she recounted her first encounter with the actor during the filming of “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” a movie directed by her uncle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

However, in her innocence, Sharmin responded with a firm “No.”

In the interview, she shared that she had no understanding of marriage at that tender age. Reflecting on her childhood self, Sharmin humorously admitted to having a habit of saying “No” to everything, which included Salman’s playful proposal.

Despite her youthful misunderstanding, Sharmin’s admiration for Salman Khan endured throughout the years. She confessed to still being a fan of his famous song “O O Jaane Jaana” from the movie “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.” She said as we quote,

“I still fangirl over O O Jaane Jaana (Salman’s famous song from his 1998 film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya) so let’s not even go there. I was about two years old! I said no to everything!”
