Salim Khan Responds To Abhinav Kashyap

The sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput raised many questions about the Bollywood industry. The many posts referring to the film industry’s alleged role in alienating and isolating Sushant Singh Rajput have appeared to have been noted. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh announced that the police investigation into the actor’s death will also probe reports that professional rivalry was a factor.

Director Abhinav Kashyap caused a storm online with his post detailing the abuse of power used by Salman Khan and family to get him removed off projects after their fallout since he directed the first Dabangg. Kashyap’s post came following the opening up of dialogue surrounding nepotism after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

While Salman and Arbaaz Khan remained silent on this issue, their father Salim Khan spoke to Times Of India about the same. Talking to Bombay Times, Salim Khan said,

“Ji haan, humne hi sab kharab kiya hai na. Aap pehle jaake unki filmey dekhiye phir hum baat karte hai. (Yes, we have destroyed his career. First, go and watch his films and then we should talk).”

Salim Khan further added,

“Unhone mera naam daala hai na unki statement mein. Unhe shayad mere pitaji ka naam nahi pata. Unka naam hai Rashid Khan. Unhe hamaare dadaon aur pardadaon ke naam bhi daalne dijiye. (Yes, we are the ones to ruin everything, right? You watch his films first and then we’ll talk. He used my name in his statement right? Maybe he didn’t know my father’s name. His name was Rashid Khan. Let him also use my grandfather and great grandfather’s names too) Let him do whatever he wants, I am not going to waste time in reacting to what he says.”

Earlier, Arbaaz Khan had told Hindustan Times that he has taken legal action against Abhinav.

“In fact, we have already taken legal action even before this post; it was after his earlier post (when Kashyap spoke about having differences with Arbaaz and Salman and led him to step down from the Dabangg franchise). We have had no communication with Abhinav since we started working on Dabangg 2. We parted ways professionally. Don’t know where all this coming from. We are taking legal action.”
