Riva Arora, an actress best known for her role in Uri: The Surgical Strike, has become one of the best-known child actresses in India in recent years. In the movie, she portrayed Suhani Kashyap, Major Vihaan Singh Shergill’s niece, in the military-action movie, and her scene from her father’s funeral still gives us chills.

However, she has been in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons!

Prior to the announcement of a project involving Riva and Karan Kundrra, everything was going smoothly for her. However, due to videos in which she appeared alongside singer Mika Singh and actor Karan Kundrra, as a romantic and seducing character, she has gained lots of attention on social media platforms.

However, with this actress, who has never publicly declared her age, netizens made the mistake of believing she was “too young” to play glamorous and sassy characters, much like many others who fell into the same trap.

Recently, netizens tormented 12-year-old Riva for making videos with 45-year-old Mika Singh and 38-year-old Karan Kundra. Some even went on to say that she had cosmetic surgery and injections to improve her appearance.

Needless to say, she became a target of trolls on social media, and the most important thing to note this time is that people also trolled her parents for allowing her to appear in videos with actors who were twice or three times her age.

Since the days have passed since Riva was criticised on social media by some users for appearing in glitzy and romantic videos. Nisha Arora, her mother, who is also an advocate by profession, has now replied to all these allegations. She has clarified the falsehood that many reputed publishers and netizens are circulating about her age.

Riva Arora’s mother clarified that her daughter is not 12 years old

Since the storm has somewhat subsided, Nisha has dispelled all rumors. Nisha Arora, Riva’s mother, recently criticised the mudslingers a few days after the rumours gained widespread notoriety. Through her Instagram Stories, Nisha denied the claims that Riva was 12 years old and termed them false.

“I was calm, but not anymore. The allegations on my daughter’s age are completely false and it’s a saying that false news travels faster then ever and many reputed social media channels proved it. It is sad to see and disheartening for me. Atleast you should have cross checked with me before upload on reputed pages. My daughter is an actor and working in industry since years (sic).”

Riva also reposted the remark on her Instagram Stories.

Nisha also spoke to India Forums about this, saying,

“It’s unfortunate to see renowned publications are spreading false information about a young girl without any verifications. My daughter is currently in the 10th grade. She has been working in the industry for more than 13 years and has achieved everything with utmost integrity and perseverance.”

Riva, who portrayed the daughter of Mohit Raina and Manasi Parekh in Uri, has worked on a number of noteworthy films. She made her Bollywood debut when she was barely one and a half years old in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar.
