The men in blue are all set for their three-match ODI and two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Thereby, so is Rohit Sharma to take the charge of leadership again. Ahead of their ODI series opener on December 4, the Indian skipper took to Instagram and shared some snaps from the training session.

ODI Series against Bangladesh will reunite the iconic trio- Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli

For this challenge against Bangladesh Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are gearing themselves. However, so is Shikhar Dhawan. This encounter will reunite the iconic trio of the top three, Rohit, Shikhar, and Virat. Since 2019, this iconic trio has barely been seen together in ODIs. After a long pause, Rohit and Shikhar will be together as opening pairs. Will they or will they not give India the long-wished aggressive start would be fun to witness. Furthermore, it remains to be seen if Virat Kohli will carry forward his top-notch T20I format in the ODIs as well.

With the T20 World cup happening in 2021 and 2022 very little attention has been paid to the ODIs. However, now 2023 ODI World cup is approaching in less than 12 months’ time. Therefore all the teams around the globe are gearing themselves for the longer format.

After the younger pack of men in blue lost the only ODI of the series against New Zealand as the other two were abandoned because of rain, team India is working hard to do well against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma’s Instagram is a testament to how the men in blue are bracing themselves for their encounter with Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur, Dhaka.

Netizens got another chance to assume themselves with this pulling of the leg.

The focus of cricket fans will also be on the middle order of the Indian team. KL Rahul has established himself as a fine middle-order player and so has Shreyas Iyer. Rishabh Pant is a great choice for left-handed batsmen however he has to give a stellar performance in order to secure his spot in the playing 11.

On the other hand, if we talk about the Bangladesh team, its regular ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal is not in the series due to a groin injury and so is star player Taskin Ahmed due to a back injury. The spot of leading the team will be filled by their stand-in captain Litton Das.

Check out the squad of team India,

Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen, and Umran Malik.
