After smashing his maiden ODI century on Sunday against England in the third and final match of the series at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant stole the show. His outstanding batting performance helped India register a five-wicket win and claim the series 2-1.

In the final ODI match against England, Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 125* off 113 balls and his 133-run partnership with his fellow teammate, Hardik Pandya helped India chase down 260 and win the series.

Rishabh Pant shared a post on Instagram with a hilarious caption from Mirzapur dialogue

Just a day after the match against England, Rishabh Pant shared a hilarious Instagram post, where he could be seen wearing a gold chain and standing beside a chair in the ‘Munna Bhaiyaa’ avatar. He shared the picture, with a caption with reference to the web series, Mirzapur’s dialogue. Rishabh wrote,

“Aur hum ek naya niyam add kar rahe hain, Mirzapur ki gaddi pe baithne wala kabhi bhi niyam badal sakta hai – Munna Bhaiya. #RP17”

Isha Negi took the opportunity to troll Rishabh

The comment that stole the show was from his girlfriend Isha Negi.

Isha Negi trolled Rishabh Pant by commenting,

“Nokia 1100”

It seems like an inside joke as no one understood the context, But the fans don’t want to back down and are busy making wild guesses.

Earlier, Isha Negi shared a picture of her boyfriend, Rishabh Pant giving thumbs up to Rohit Sharma on his Instagram story after Rishabh’s stunning performance at Manchester against England.

When the Indian side was staggering at 72-4 after 16.2 overs, Pant stood up for his team when they needed him the most. He struck 16 fours and 2 sixes and was later announced the Man of the Match for his brilliant form.

Rishabh Pant is the only Indian wicketkeeper to score Test hundreds in Australia, England, and South Africa.

Former Indian batter Manjrekar is all praise for Rishabh, he said,

“No, he’s always responsible. He may seem irresponsible sometimes when he gets out, when he gets out playing one of those kinds of shots, we’ve got to look at it as somebody getting out at slips because the game has changed and that is Rishabh Pant’s primary sort of skill. He’s got to sound different but when he extends himself, he tries these shots. The winning runs, for example, it’s a part of his basic attacking, and array of shots that he has. So, responsibility wise I think this guy is just incredible because of the kind of record he has in test cricket. You can’t play those kinds of shots if you are not responsible by nature, wanting to win the game and in this one day as well you could see him. I got very excited watching Rishabh Pant because there’s something about this country, that we keep producing these kinds of batters every generation,”

With the T20I series against West Indies commencing on July 29, we can’t wait to see Rishabh’s performance in the upcoming matches.
