Ramayan Actor Arun Govil Gets Disappointed After Visiting Ram Mandir. Here’s Why

The northern Indian city of Ayodhya has recently become a center of attention everywhere. It’s all because Ram Mandir has finally been inaugurated at Lord Ram’s birthplace after a long wait. Starting in the 1980s as a movement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi finally completed the long-standing goal of BJP. The ornate ceremony was witnessed by millions of people on television on January 22. Modi officially opened the Ram Mandir, an expansive complex of temples devoted to the Hindu deity Ram. He conducted a consecration ceremony and performed rites in front of a recently constructed idol of Lord Ram. The idol, made by sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was around four feet tall and was decorated with gold and flowers.

While the work on the temple is still ongoing, people from all over the world flock to Ayodhya just to witness this historic temple. With nearly 7,000 attendees, the celebration has become a grand affair, witnessing the attendance of well-known people. From business tycoon Mukesh Ambani to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, everyone become “Rammayi.” The celebration also had a nostalgic feel thanks to the attendance of actors from the popular television series “Ramayan,” Arun Govil (as Ram) and Dipika (as Sita).

There is a noticeable buzz about the ceremony all around the nation, which highlights how significant this event is. However, actor Arun Govil expressed a slight disappointment regarding his experience at the consecration ceremony. As reported by Bharat 24, Govil shared his sentiments, adding a nuanced perspective to the overall celebration.

What is the reason behind Arun Govil’s disappointment?

Arun Govil is well-known actor best known for playing Lord Ram in the cult television series “Ramayan.” He was one of the esteemed guests invited to the Ram Mandir inauguration earlier this week. However, he recently expressed his dissatisfaction over the ceremony while talking to media. He said that even though he was a guest, he was not allowed to get the darshan of Ram Lalla.

In a statement reported by Bharat 24, Arun shared his sentiments about the Ram Mandir, expressing a mix of fulfillment and longing. He said,

“Sapna toh bhaiya poora ho gaya par mujhe darshan nahi hue. Main kuch nahi keh sakta iss samay.”

Days before the Ram Mandir opening, Arun Govil traveled to Ayodhya with his “Ramayan.”

He was accompanied by his co-stars Dipika Chiklia and Sunil Lahiri. They were going to Ayodhya to film their album “Hamare Ram Aayenge.” Due that time, while talking to Ayodhya media, Arun Govil discussed the great importance of the Ram temple. He predicted that it will become the “Rashtra Mandir” and convey a message that will uphold India’s culture.

Reflecting on the grandeur of the consecration ceremony, Govil expressed his astonishment, describing it as the biggest event of his life. He highlighted the unanticipated delight of being present for such a momentous occasion and remarked on the tremendous emotional intensity and the national resonance of Lord Ram’s name.
