Farooq Abdullah declared in a recent interview that if proven guilty, he is willing to be hung anywhere in the country

Pallavi Joshi, who plays the role of Krishna Pandit’s teacher in the film, has now responded to Abdullah’s remarks. She said,

“Well, politics is not my domain, so I don’t know how to answer politicians. But what we have done and has come out of four years of very detailed and in-depth work. I also have video testimonies of all the Kashmiri Pandits and the government officers of that time from police to administrations and every single incident that we have shown in the film, we have video evidence of it. I don’t think 700 people could together speak the same lie.”

She went on to say,

“Kashmiri Pandits are always accused that they colluded with Jagmohan (Malhotra, Governor of J&K in 1990) and left, I understand a handful of people doing it but why would 7 lakh Pandits do that. Why would they decide to leave the valley one day? Okay, let me say, chalo, they have done this, but when they realised that they are not being able to go back for 32 years, they haven’t said anything against Jagmohan, that is not possible right? What do you make out of this?”

Pallavi Joshi also mentioned how Farooq Abdullah resigned two days before the 1990 Kashmiri Pandit massacre. She said,

“There was no administration for two days. Mr Abdullah resigned two days before the incident and he flew out to London when this mayhem took place on the 19th. Jagmohan was appointed the governor but he couldn’t reach there because of bad weather, he was put up in Jammu for two-three days that’s when all these killings and exodus started happening.”
