Sounds astounding but in a surprising turn of events, a Noida resident experienced a significant discrepancy between the expected and actual fare after booking an Uber ride that left him and the internet amazed.
A video of a regular Uber user who got an auto ride bill of a whopping Rs 7.66 crore has gone viral
Deepak Tenguriya, a regular Uber user, recently had an unexpected shock when he opted for an auto ride through the Uber India app. Expecting a usual fare of Rs 62, he was surprised to find himself staring at a bill amounting to a whopping Rs 7.66 crore upon reaching his destination. In a video shared by his friend Ashish Mishra, Deepak expressed his disbelief at the exorbitant amount charged.
The breakdown of the bill revealed staggering figures – Rs 1,67,74,647 for the trip fare alone, along with an additional Rs 5,99,09189 attributed to waiting time costs. Despite a promotional deduction of Rs 75, the final bill remained astronomically high, leaving Deepak and his friend astonished and puzzled by the unexpected turn of events.
The video shared by Deepak’s friend on X (formerly known as Twitter) has gone viral leaving everyone in utter disbelief. The video was shared by the username Ashish Mishra with the caption as we quote,

“Early in the morning @Uber_India made @TenguriyaDeepak so rich that he is thinking of taking Uber franchise next. The good thing is that the trip has not been canceled yet. Become a crorepati loanee instantly by booking an auto for Rs 62.”

Uber India’s official page responded to the viral video
Such happenings are very astounding and demand a reaction from the company. Without further ado, the official page of Uber India took to the comment section and gave an apologetic reply.
Uber India’s reply showcased how they acknowledged the seriousness of the situation. They stated that they would look into it. The reply by Uber India read as we quote,
“Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble. Please allow us sometime while we are looking into this issue for you. We will get back to you with an update.”
