Neha Kakkar Replies To Falguni Pathak’s Criticism On “Maine Payal Hai Chhankai” Remix

The iconic Falguni Pathak song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai is not your typical time-filling tune. Instead, every time we hear this song, it brings back happy memories from our childhood.

All of Falguni’s songs from the 1990s and 2000s, which included popular actors and actresses like Rubina Dilaik, Shahid Kapoor, Riya Sen, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Ayesha Takia, among others, had endearing music videos that we can still remember even today. That’s why Falguni is still known as the queen of indie pop.

Her song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai is so popular that it recently got a remix from the renowned singer Neha Kakkar. However, Neha Kakkar’s version holds a different destiny from Falguni’s version.

Neha Kakkar’s brand-new song, O Sajna, has been subjected to vicious trolling. Internet users have criticised and derided the song since it is a remake of Falguni Pathak’s well-known iconic hit. Many users even proclaimed that she ruined Falguni’s song and their childhood memories.

Even if we look at the song’s comment section on YouTube, we can see that a large section of people didn’t actually like the remixed version.

Many people also tagged Falguni Pathak in multiple posts in which Neha Kakkar was criticized. But this is where the surprise comes.

Surprisingly, Falguni Pathak even shared those multiple posts, which sparked speculation that she was not happy with the remix. Now, confirming this, Falguni Pathak recently expressed her displeasure in an interview.

Falguni Pathak trolls Neha Kakkar’s O Sajna song

In an interview with the Delhi Times, she said,

“I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. First reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha.”

She further said,

“Video aur picturisation mein jo innocence thi, uska pura satyanash kiya hai iss gaane mein. Remixes are happening, but do it in a decent way. If you want to reach out to the younger generation, change the rhythm of the song, but don’t make it cheap. Don’t change the originality of the song. I don’t think I need to do anything; my fans are taking action against the song. I am just sharing the stories. Why should I keep quiet when they are supporting me, main kaise chup baithoon.”

Her comments gained so much appreciation from her fans as she expressed her honest thoughts or what is correct according to them. However, maybe these comments didn’t go well with Neha Kakkar, who was the centre of attention from the start.

Now, she recently reacted to this harsh criticism by taking a swipe at Falguni Pathak and other trolls.

Neha Kakkar Indirectly Hits Back At Falguni Pathak And The Critics

After receiving a lot of flak, Neha Kakkar has now responded, claiming she feels bad for those who were upset by her achievement. At first, she sent a mysterious message, saying,

“Very few people in the world get what I have received in life. That too in such a young age. This kind of fame, love, countless super hit songs, super duper hit tv shows, world tours, fans from little kids to 80-90 years old people and what not! You know why I Got all this because of my talent, hard work , passion and positivity. So…Today I just wanna Thank God and each one of you for giving me what I have today. Thank You!!! I am the most blessed child of God. Thank you again! Wishing you all a lifetime of happiness.”

She also posted two other messages on her Instagram stories, saying,

“And for those who’re so unhappy seeing me happy and successful, I feel sorry for them. Bechaare… Plz keep commenting. I won’t even delete them. Coz I know and everybody knows what Neha Kakkar is!”

The singer added,

“If talking in such a manner, saying such bad things about me, abusing me.. makes them feel good and if they think it will ruin my day. Then I’m sorry to inform them that I’m too blessed to have bad days. This God’s child is always happy coz God himself/herself is keeping me happy.”

While trolls find Neha Kakkar’s remixed version problematic, Neha Kakkar is busy with her own stuff and constantly uses her tunes in her posts. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
