Judge Namita Thapar clarifies the purpose of the program as ‘Shark Tank’ drops Ashneer Grover

Shark Namita Thapar, who is also an executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, also discussed the departure of BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover, one of the most well-liked judges from season 1.

Thapar posted a trailer for Shark Tank India’s forthcoming season. After this, she tweeted another tweet, in which she wrote,

“One person doesn’t make or break a show… not me, not anybody… this show is about celebrating our entrepreneurs, job creators… it’s about teaching masses business concepts through beautiful stories of these nation builders. focus on that and the hard work put in by the team.”

Although Thapar didn’t take Ashneer Grover’s name, it was clear to users of social media that her tweet was directed toward him

Since then, her tweet has gained a lot of attention on social media sites with many people reacting to it.

As a person commented on her tweet by saying that Shark Tank India is not an entertainment program and that it is all about talent and development tales, Namita Thapar responded to her tweet, by writing,

“So agree ! Well said”

Later, Thapar also reacted to a tweet that said the program was merely another reality show intended to boost TRPs and not a true investment presentation. While responding to this, she wrote,

“Are u serious ? Coz it’s my ‘real’ money I’m putting in.. what do u mean by it’s not a real pitch ??!! It’s easy to talk & whine & judge … tough to give time, energy, mentorship & money..”

Shark Namita Thapar stated in another tweet,

“Let’s see if authenticity & cause win over …judgement & toxicity ! What does New India really want out of life ?”
