When Mrunal revealed her love for Virat Kohli

Mrunal made her initial remark while promoting Jersey, her sports drama in which Shahid Kapoor co-starred. She disclosed that she had previously been “madly in love” with Virat Kohli in an interview with ETimes.

In an interview, she talked about how her brother’s love of cricket made her a fan and finally brought back happy memories of going to a live match with him about five years ago. Thinking back on the experience, she noted how ironic it was that she was now starring in a cricket-themed movie like Jersey. She said,

There was a time when I was madly in love with Virat Kohli. I started liking cricket because of my brother, who’s a big fan. I have fond memories of watching a match live at a stadium with him around five years ago. I remember I was wearing a blue jersey and cheering for Team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It is such a happy coincidence.

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur most recently starred alongside Vijay Deverakonda in the film Family Star, which did not particularly impress viewers. She also appeared in the much-awaited movie Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. She will soon be seen in multiple projects, including The Son of Sardaar 2, Vishwambara, Pooja Meri Jaan, and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

So, what do you think about her comment? Is she embarrassed, or is it just all for film promotion?
