Photoshopping someone, whether it’s a random person or a celebrity, without their consent can be problematic. It blurs the line between admiration and intrusion, thereby making the subject uncomfortable or even misrepresented. Recently, a fan took to Instagram and edited actress Mrunal Thakur into a Diwali photo with himself. This led her to publicly call out the behavior in the comment section.

She took to the comment section to express her disapproval and criticized the editor. Interestingly, the editor did not just edit photos with her but with many celebrities. While the photo was decent enough, it did not sit well with Mrunal. She wrote in the comment section,
“Bhai kyu tassali de rahe hain aap apne aap ko? Aapko lagta hain ki aap yeh Jo kar rahe hain yeh cool hain? Ji nahi! (Why are you reassuring yourself? Do you think what you’re doing is cool? Absolutely not!)”

Pehle jab main dekha main khush hui… chal kisi aur ke saath na sahi inke saath hi main Diwali toh mana rahi hoon (Guys, will you keep on trolling? I made that comment. At first, when I saw it, I was happy… well, if not with someone else, at least I’m celebrating Diwali with him.)
She further said in a hilarious tone,
“Phir I opened his page and then I saw he had edited his video with each and every actress. My heart was broken. I was so sad.”
She then praised the editor and asked her fans to not troll him,
“But, I really love his editing skills and I really pray and I hope that he uses his art for the right thing. But please, do not say bad things to him. His intention was, may be, not bad.”
Ending her video message on a funny note she finally said,
“And I just hope ki vo aur logon ka dil na todey. (I just hope he doesn’t break anyone else’s heart.)”
