“Today, five lakh devotees had a darshan of Ram Lalla.”

There were times when the crowd seemed to go out of control but police personnel and officials took control of the situation and arranged people in queues for the darshan. The gates were opened to the public at 6 am and the last entry was at 10 pm.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath did an aerial survey and he posted on social media platform X saying,

On this occasion, necessary guidelines were also given to officials concerned to ensure easy and convenient darshan of Lord Shri Ram Lalla for the revered seers and devotees, and to run all necessary arrangements smoothly.”

Adityanath also discussed with the Temple Trust about the actions necessary for handling the huge number of devotees visiting the temple.

An official told PTI,

“Till afternoon, 2.5 to 3 lakh devotees have paid obeisance in the temple and a similar number of them are remaining. Over 8,000 policemen are overseeing the arrangements and everything is under control”

The temple trust took to the microblogging site X and shared the incident saying that through the southern gate, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum and went near the Utsav idol. Noticing this, the security personnel ran towards the monkey concerned that it might drop the idol on the ground.

The post read,

“…As soon as the policemen ran towards the monkey, the monkey ran calmly towards the northern gate. Since the gate was closed, he moved towards the east and passing through the crowd, went out through the eastern gate without causing any trouble to anyone. The security personnel say that for us it is as if Hanuman ji himself has come to see Ramlala.”

It seems Lord Rama’s devotees are not limited to humans. The monkey found it’s way to visit Ram ji at his birthplace.
